If you warm the varnish, or work in a warm environment, the varnish will be thinner and flow easier. You can add a thinner to the varnish, but you always need to be careful to add an appropriate thinner. For Antique Paste Varnish, you want to use Klenk's Odourless Thinner or a similar solvent. For Circa 1850 Antique Paste Varnish, you can "liquify" the varnish by stirring or whisking it. |
