oak hardwood floorsMessage: About 9 years ago my oak hardwood flooring was stained with a product no longer available which I can't find a match to. It was then finished with your antique paste varnish. I would was them periodically and polish. Now I want to strip them again as they are showing spots where the varnish is worn. Can I use furniture refinisher to strip the varnish, then a stain and seal them with antique past varnish again? If not what do you suggest? |

RE: oak hardwood floors Message: Before Stripping remove all polish and wax with TSP or mineral spirits. Use Circa 1850 Paint stripper to remove Paste Varnish. Sand to open up the wood grain. Stain. Then use The Circa 1850 Paste Varnish. |
