stain n varnish..where??Message: I have golden oak cabinets, that are just too yellow for me, would the "stain n varnish" work for me to lighten them or change the colour? Also I have not been able to find it anywhere!! I live in the Guelph area, any suggestions would be appreciated!! |

RE: stain n varnish..where?? Message: Yes you can change the colour by appling Stain N Varnish over top of the finished cabinets. You will not be able to go lighter. First clean with Circa 1850 Furniture cleaner and then apply the Stain N Varnish. Build the colour up slowly until you reach the colour you desire. Stain N Varnish can be purchased @ Campus Home Hardware in Guelph. |

So...if I wanted to go lighter I will have to strip them or sand them right down, makes sense, but the Stain N Varnish would still save me a step though. The product description mentions custom tinting, can the hardware store do that or is it special order? |

RE: stain n varnish..where?? Message: I am wondering where I can buy Black Oak Stain N Varnish in the St. John's NL area. I picked up two 1/2 pints at Templetons but they said they will not be reordering any. Is there anywhere else in the area where I can get some? This is the only colour that I have seen that I like and as a bonus is two in one. |
