Coating polyurethaneMessage: I am trying to coat a childs desk with a few pictures of the family. Is there a product which will coat wood but not destroy the pictures with moisture? |

RE: Coating polyurethane Message: You are in luck. Circa 1850 Nu-Lustre-55 will work perfectly in your application. This product is equal to 55 coats of varnish and may be applied over your picture. If your picture is varnished you may be able to pour the Nu-Luste-55 directly over the picture. However, we normally reccommend that you 1st glue the picture down and then seal it with 4 parts white glue and 1 part water. You may brush the solution on then wait min 4 hrs and then pour on the Nu-Lustre-55. |

RE: Coating polyurethane Message: May you apply Nu-Lustre-55 overtop of a table that has been coated with polyurethane? |

RE: Coating polyurethane Message: Yes, you can apply Nu-Lustre-55 onto a surface that has been coated with a polyurethane. It would be a good idea to buff the surface with extra fine sandpaper or steel wool to remove any gloss, and to provide increased adhesion of the top coat. |
