Do you mean ~ can you paint on top of the Nu-Lustre-55? If so, the answer would be yes. As with any paint job, the surface should be thoroughly cleaned and sanded prior to painting.

Yes, once it has thoroughly cured (I would give it a few days, at least), you can sand and polish Nu-Lustre.

If you place the resin bottle in a warm location, it will turn back
to a liquid.

Refinishing and old dining table. Completely sand it down and stained it.After applying the first coat I noticed some uneveness with the Nu-lustre-55. Some places seemed to absorb some of the 55. How should I handle this? Will a second coat fill this in and do I need to sand it? Thanks

Message:
I am not sure how you applied this finish. It needs to be poured onto the surface, and spread out so that the entire surface is completely covered. If you try to spread it too thinly, you will find that the epoxy will pull back, and you will end up with sections that have no finish at all.
You do not need to sand between coats (unless the finish has cured for a week or more), but you do need to ensure that you pour on adequate epoxy to flood the surface.
