Mark,
All of the products will remove the paint - the question is what effect will it have on the marble surface.
I have just put some test samples of our strippers onto some polished marble - I will let you know the results later......

OK - the test is complete.
After 12 hours on a piece of polished marble, there was absolutely no dulling of the finish using Circa 1850 Furniture Stripper, Heavy body Paint & Varnish Remover, or Soft Strip.
However, after wiping off the strippers, it is noticeable that there was something wet on the surface (just like if you leave a glass of water on a marble top overnight).
I will check back tomorrow to see if the wet marks are still there.

Just went to check on the test pieces of marble. The ones with the Furniture Stripper and Heavy Body Remover are completely uniform in colour - no wet spot. The Soft Strip sample still has a very slight wet spot (only noticable because I knew where to look).

CONCLUSION: Use any of the Circa 1850 Strippers to remove paint from marble with no lasting effect on the marble.

Thanks a lot for all your help. When I strip the mantle (probably this spring) I will certainly consider your product for the job.
Thanks again,
Mark
